I can’t find any reference of a pair of players beating that back-to-back home run record… so, I’ll refer to it as the record.

An interesting (and related) event that I was unaware of – on September 14, 1990, Ken Griffey, Sr. and Ken Griffey, Jr. hit back-to-back home runs, making them the only father and son to do so… now that’d be an interesting record for someone to attempt to beat!
